ABSTRACT
In the research conducted, the architectural facade originality of traditional houses located in Kemaliye, a district in Erzincan province, has been investigated. Research was carried out on twenty houses among the registered buildings positioned along the city's main route, which are located on the sightseeing route for visitors and were inhabited by the prominent figures of the city. The originality of these houses was evaluated by 10 experts who has conducted scientific studies on Kemaliye houses, Traditional Turkish houses, and originality in architecture. The evaluation form created within the scope of the Analytic Hierarchy Process used in the study was filled out by faculty members from architecture and cultural heritage preservation and restoration departments, architects involved in restoration practices, employees from the Erzurum Regional Directorate of Cultural Heritage Preservation, and local craftsmen involved in restoration work in the region. The findings from these forms were analyzed by using fuzzy logic analysis methods, and the originality values of the houses were converted into numerical data. The method used allowed for the integrated analysis of the opinions of a large number of people rather than those of a single individual. As a result of the study, significant findings were reached concerning the preservation of the originality of traditional houses in the Kemaliye region, which is listed on UNESCO's tentative heritage list, and their transfer to future generations.
